AI recruiting startup Metaview raises $60 million to scale its hiring agents

Metaview announced a $60 million Series C led by Insight Partners to expand its agentic recruiting platform, bringing total funding to $110 million.

Metaview, a London- and San Francisco-based startup that builds AI agents for hiring, announced on September 30 that it raised a $60 million Series C round led by Insight Partners. GV, Intrepid Growth Partners, Seedcamp, Vertex Ventures US, Plural and Garuda Ventures also took part, bringing the company's total funding to $110 million.

Metaview was founded in 2018 by Siadhal Magos and Shahriar Tajbakhsh, both previously of Uber and Palantir. The company describes its product as an agentic recruiting platform: a set of connected AI agents that handle sourcing, application review, screening, interview scheduling and other parts of the hiring workflow rather than acting as a single chatbot.

Its flagship agent, called fillmore, is pitched as an autonomous recruiting coworker. According to the company, fillmore can research candidates, build target lists, write personalized outreach messages, follow up with prospects and schedule screening calls on its own. Metaview plans to use the new funding to move fillmore from limited release into general availability and to add further specialist agents for other stages of hiring.

The company says it has captured information from more than 6 million job interviews and that over 7,000 companies use its tools, including Deel, Affirm, Navan and Replit. Metaview says some of those customers have cut their time-to-hire by more than 75 percent, though results vary by company and role.

Alongside the fundraise, Metaview said it intends to grow from roughly 80 employees to around 250 by the end of next year and to open a New York office in addition to its existing hubs in San Francisco and London.

The round is part of a broader wave of investment in so-called agentic software, where AI systems are designed to carry out multi-step tasks with little human prompting rather than simply answering questions. Recruiting has become one of several business functions, alongside customer support and sales outreach, where startups are racing to apply that approach.
